ODI provides a range of services beyond highly-reliable subsea component design.
These include Concept Study, Program and Project Management, Contract
Administration and Support, and a variety of technical and training support
functions. ODI is not just a component manufacturer, it is a source for
complete System Integration and Engineering services.
ADVANCED PRODUCTS GROUP
 ODI's Advanced Products Group (APG) performs the
Company's research and development. It consists of three areas: engineering, a
test laboratory and a model shop.
APG Engineering consists of senior level, highly experienced engineers and
designers, responsible for the design and development of ODI's new products and
processes. New product development is managed and controlled through a
cross-functional, team-based process.
 The APG Model Shop provides dedicated machining
capability, enabling rapid prototyping, using state-of-the-art machines and
equipment.
The APG Lab offers dedicated laboratory and testing capability, servicing the
Company's needs for R&D testing and evaluation. Resources available include
pressure vessels rated up to 30,000psi, electrical test equipment up to 800
amps and 40,000 volts, environmental test chambers, a tension and compression
machine, and specialized material testing equipment.
ENGINEERING
The Engineering Department of ODI executes all segments integral to product
development and project engineering - from applications review through to
management of systems engineering and implementation.
 These key functions are performed by a staff of
highly-skilled professional engineers, each of whom are responsible for one or
more programs. They develop and design products, adhering to the qualification
standards required by our customer.
The Engineering Department is also supported by a drafting unit and document
control unit. The department utilizes CAD software for all projects, with
systems and detail design generated in conjunction with AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
All deliverable documentation is fully controlled and traceable in accordance
with ISO 9001.
