It
is a pleasure to announce that, effective immediately, Ken Nagengast has been
promoted to Vice President of Engineering for ODI reporting to Mike Read,
President & CEO.
Ken began his career at ODI on June 1, 2004, as Technical Program Manager. He
has had a distinguished career in the technical management field including
Technical Manager at OFS Specialty Photonics Division, and at Lucent
Technologies/AT&T Ocean Systems.
Ken has extensive fiber-optic technology and systems experience, specializing in
the development of fiber-optic, wet-mateable connection technology and sub sea
systems. He has a BS in Mechanical Engineering.

ODI Opens New Technical Service Centre
In Ellon, Uk.
ODI (Ocean Design, Inc.), the world's leading supplier of
high performance, wet-mateable inter-connection systems, has opened a new
Technical Service Center at Balmacassie, Ellon, Scotland on Tuesday 24th May.
The center provides increased capacity for local assembly, improved service
capabilities and new conference facilities for product training. The center is
equipped with hyperbaric testing, dedicated fiber optic handling areas and
office accommodation to support its growing European customer requirements.
This new service center compliments the other ODI locations around the world,
which include corporate headquarters in Ormond Beach, Florida, technical
service centers in Houston, Texas and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
ODI's strength lies in product and technology innovation and system integration.
ODI meets its customers' needs by leveraging engineering expertise to provide
integrated solutions based on its range of field-proven, wet-mateable
electrical and optical systems, fully qualified and suitable for use at any
ocean depth.
ODI's product offering extends beyond highly-reliable subsea system design into
Concept Study, FEED engineering, Program and Project Management, and Field
Service delivered from one of its bases in Houston, Aberdeen, Rio de Janeiro
and Florida. The wide range of products and engineering services deliver cost
effective solutions for all types of data transmission, communication and power
distribution. Typical applications range from analogue or Ethernet 100 Base T
flying leads, to fiber optic communications harnesses, to 3 phase 10KV power
jumpers, to fully-qualified, high-voltage d.c. inter-connectors.
ODI's products include sensor integration systems, hyperbaric penetrators,
field-installable subsea cable terminations, and down-hole and tree penetration
components, including optical variants. ODI's wet-mate optical products have
amassed over 40 million operating hours, and have been tested to power levels
in excess of 1 W continuous laser light.

PESA APPOINTS MIKE READ TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Petroleum Equipment Suppliers Association (PESA) has
appointed Mike Read, President and CEO of ODI, to its Board of Directors.
PESA was founded in 1933, and is a consortium of over 200 equipment suppliers of
the Oil and Gas industry. ODI has been a member since 2003.
Mr. Read will join the Board which consists of Presidents and Executives of many
ODI key customers, including: Cameron, FMC, Vetco Gray, Halliburton and
Schlumberger.
PESA key activities include an annual industry summit which, in 2005, focused on
the long-term supply and demand for Oil and Gas, and other educational and
networking forums that apply to the operational and business aspects of the
industry.

ODI (Ocean Design, Inc.), a leading subsea fiber optic and
electrical connectivity company, is pleased to announce that Dr. Tom Burke has
joined the company as Senior Vice President of the Defense and Communications
group, reporting to Mike Read, President and CEO. Dr. Burke has a PhD in
Chemistry from the California Institute of Technology, and has extensive
commercial and technical experience in defense and related businesses.
Dr. Burke joins ODI from General Dynamics - AIS in New Jersey where he was Vice
President of the Maritime Systems business, one of ODI's major customers. His
prior experience includes senior positions at Raytheon, TRW and the Central
Intelligence Agency.
Reporting to Dr. Burke will be Greg Scull, V.P. of Defense and Communications
and John Flynn, Director of Sales and Marketing, leading the D&C team
toward their strategic objectives.

ODI is pleased to announce the appointment of Terry O'Brien
to the D&C Marketing team. Terry will assume the role of Marketing Manager
in the Northeast, and will be responsible for Market Development and Technical
Sales Management for that area. He will report to John Flynn, Director of Sales
& Marketing for the Defense and Communications Group.
Terry has a strong Technical & Marketing background, and has had a
distinguished career with Raychem Corporation and Tyco Electronics since 1979.
Terry's entire career has been focused on harsh environment Interconnect
solutions in the Defense & Commercial Markets, and he has held senior
positions in Sales Management, Market Development and Product Management.
Terry has earned both a BS and a PhD in Chemistry and an MBA.
Terry currently lives in Pleasanton, CA with his wife Lois, and will be
relocating to the New England area in early 2005.

On December 21, 2004, ODI (Ocean Design, Inc.) held its ground breaking ceremony
for their new corporate headquarters in Daytona Beach, Florida, USA. The new
$13M, 100,000 square-foot facility, will consolidate all operations from their
existing four separate buildings in Ormond Beach. Completion of the facility is
expected by the end of 2005.

One of the streets into the new business park will be designated "Cairns Way"
after Dr. James Cairns, Co-founder and Chairman of the Board, who formed ODI in
1988 in a garage in Holly Hill, Florida, with less than 5 employees. The
company now staffs approximately 200 worldwide.

ODI is the world leader in subsea electrical and fiber-optic interconnect
systems. The new state-of-the-art facility will enable ODI to continue to
broaden the high technology products and services it offers in the various
markets, such as Oil & Gas, Defense & Communications and Oceanographic
Research. In addition to its vertically integrated operations, ODI's
capabilities include hyperbaric, environmental, tension, material, electrical
and optical testing, in accordance with national and international standards.
ODI also manufactures critical outboard submarine cables, and has received Navy
certification of compliance to naval mandated protocol.
