Teledyne Oil & Gas has released two enhanced design versions of Protective Caps to meet a variable range of performance requirements. A previously released low-cost protective cap intended for long-term subsea use offered cost saving features utilizing plastic outer shells with plastic latching fingers. Although highly suitable for subsea use as designed, the design had limitations that restricted use across a broad spectrum of storage and operational conditions. To assure optimal performance across all applications, Teledyne Oil & Gas offers two new enhanced Protective Cap designs-an Unlimited Use design and a Limited Use design-introduced to ensure optimal performance in a wider range of storage and operational scenarios. The previous low-cost design cap will become inactive for design into new projects.
